Acupuncture is a complementary therapy of pricking the skin with needles at specified points in order to cure illness (Traditional Chinese and Medical). Acupuncture is a simple, safe, effective and economic form of therapy, neither has any side effects nor needs any form of operation. It is an assured remedy for acute and chronic diseases such as migraine, arithritis, spondylosis, diabetes, menstrual disorders, ulcer, sinusitis, sciatica, uterus fibroids, ovarian cyst, cancer and many more diseases.
Dr. J.H.M.Stella, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.Phil, M.D (ACU) was basically a college professor. In the year 1998, she developed uterus problem and she was compelled to seek allopathy treatment. After examination, the doctor prescribed removal of her uterus. Fortunately by means of acupuncture, the problem she had was cured without any operations. This incident had instigated her to study acupuncture. She is now a qualified acupuncturist and runs a acupuncture clinic at Anna Nagar Western Extension. It is almost a year since she started her clinic and she had treated more than 300 patients. Further she has completed a professoral course in acupuncture and conducts classes in the therapy. The basic educational qualification is +2 and the medium of instruction is both in Tamil and English. Age is no bar.
