Follow Vadapalani MTC Terminus’ Lead
Some time back there was tension for commuters waiting for their route bus at the bus stand near Vadapalani bus terminus, adjacent to Vijaya Shanthi Flats, as some route buses would start from the terminus in the form of cut route and some as regular.
This inconvenienced commuters waiting for bus for a long time, as they could not afford to lose their chance of getting their desired route bus by moving to the nearby bus terminus. The commuters would have to either go to the bus terminus or wait further for their route bus.
Now this problem has been solved by MTC authorities by making Vadapalani terminus a transit point for all the buses coming from Porur side.
It is really a helpful measure taken by the authorities concerned as commuters can choose his route bus either from the terminal point or wait for the main route bus that passes through the terminus.
While Chennai Plus welcomes this, it demands that this arrangement be extended to other terminuses also, wherever it is possible without affecting the traffic arrangements.
For instance, this arrangement can be followed at Adyar bus terminus for the buses coming from Saidapet–it could pass through the Adyar bus terminus for the benefit of the commuters.
