Book On Political Modernization Released
The ICFAI University Press organised a function for the release of a book, “Remade in Indra: Political Modernisation in the Indian context,’ authored by Dr.M.Abel, former Vice-Chancellor of Shri Krishnadevaraya University, Andhra Pradesh. The function was conducted at the Bharathiya Vidya Bhava, Mylapore, on Nov.18.
Mr.R.Velu, Union Minister of State for Railways, the chief guest, released the book. Mrs. Savithri Devanesam, Director, Roofs for the Roofless, received the first copy. Dr.Agarala Eswara Reddy, former AP Speaker, delivered the special address.
Dr.S.Gopalakrishnan, former professor of history, S.V.University, Tirupati, offered felicitations. Dr.C.A.Perumal, Professor Emeritus, University of Madras, spoke. Prof. P.Ramnath, Director, IBS, Chennai, welcomed the gathering. Dr. M.Abel, author of the book, replied to the felicitations. Prof.S.Bhaskaran, Head, IRC, Chennai, proposed a vote of thanks.
