The Other Festival At Park Hotel
The Park Hotel is conducting its ninth edition of a festival, “The Other Festival”, at Museum Theatre, Egmore, from Dec. 1 to 7. The festival is conducted in association with the British Council, Alliance Francaise of Madras, ICCR, Evoluzione, Mehta Jewellery etc.
The festival consists of many events of different kinds like drama, dance, theatre performance, music performance, presentations etc. Participants from countries like the U.K., U.S.A., Canada and France take part.
Apart from the on stage events, there are some off stage events, such as exhibition of installation art by Umang Hutheesing, video conference and workshop for theatre and dance professionals by Jerry Shell, art director, National Theatre of Taiwan’s 2006 open air international arts festival, spotlight on New Circus, art and performance by the Indian diaspora, a panel discussion led by Gregory Prest, director of dance performance “Fish Eyes”, etc.
