Lions Club Of T.Nagar Conducts Eye Camp
Lions Club of T. Nagar of Dist 324 A1, in association with Lions Club of Vellore of Dist 324 A4, Vivekananda Eye Hospital and Association of Prevention of Eye Loss of Thiruvanamalai conducted an eye camp on Dec. 10 at Middle School, Kolathur village, 20 km from Vellore.
The camp was inaugurated by Ln. MJF Venkata Subbu, VDG of Dist 324 A4 in the presence of Mr.S.Sekar, president of Kolathur panchayath, Ln. S. Subramanian, president, Ln. K. Rajesh Kumar, treasurer, Ln. S.J. Sharma, IVP, Ln. S. Raman, DC, Ln. R. Chandrasekar, DC, Ln. R. Ramamurthy, DC, Ln. V.S. Ravikumar, DC and Ln.Venkatesh belonging to Lions Club of T.Nagar and many lion members from the Lions Club of Vellore. One hundred and nine people were screened, 64 persons were identified for cataract operation and they will be supplied with free lens after free operation, and 11 persons will be given free spectacles. The Lions Club of Vellore and Ln.D.Gopinathan and Ln.K. Rajesh Kumar, treasurer of Lions Club of T. Nagar, made the arrangements.
There was a joint meeting on Dec. 9 at Darling Residency. The president of Lions Club of Vellore Ln. Devika Rani chaired the meeting. Ln. MJF Venkata Subbu VDGof Dist 324 A4 was the chief guest. Ln. MJF N.S. Ramanathan, PDG of 324 A4 felicitated. Ln. S. Subramanian, president of Lions club of T.Nagar proposed a vote of thanks.
