Symposium On HIV
National Service Scheme, Abstinence Club, D.G.Vaishnav College Lions Club International and Center for Counseling, Chennai, conducted a one-day intercollegiate symposium on HIV at D.G.Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam, on Dec. 22.The symposium, “HIV-related media campaigns”, was inaugurated by PMJ-Ln.Dr. Shanthkumar, Lion district governor. The other guests were Dr.K.L.Ramachandran, principal-in-charge, D.G.Vaishnav College. Dr.N.V.R.Kapali, department of adult and continuing education, University of Madras, and Ms.Magdelene Jayarathnam, director, Center for Counseling.They discussed the role of media in HIV-related campaigns. Around 500 students from 30 nearby colleges attended.
