Moongdhal Sena
Ingredients:
Sugar - 4 cups
Unsweetened kowa or mawa - 1 cups
Ghee - 2 cups
Powdered cardamom - 1 tsp
Fried cashews - 50 gms
Fried badam - 50 gms
Moongdhal or Broken green dhal - 2 cups
Cook moongdhal over slow fire till done, adding enough water to cook but not too much. The dhall will get well done and cooked but not watery piers well but do not mash into a smooth paste or pulp.
Now add double the sugar (Not necessary to powder) cook over slow fire until sugar dissolves and mixies well with the dhal. Keep during now add the mawa and mix well. Finally add the melted ghee, powdered cardamom, fried cashews, fried badam etc and mix well over slow fire and when homogenously mixed remove from fire and serve hot.
