Gopukiran of Bharatakalanjali, Chennai
Gopu Kiran, a disciple of the Dhananjayans and staff of Bharatakalanjali, Chennai, bagged the first rank in M.A degree in Bharatanatyam and received the certificate from the Governor His Excellency Surjit Singh Barnala on the occasion of convocation held on 12th November, 2007, in the Madras University campus. The much sought after male dancer Gopu Kiran had earlier studied Bharatanatyam under Smt.Girija Chandran of Regatta Cultural Academy, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
