Mobile dental clinic
The Montford Community Development Society (MCDS), an NGO, has created a mobile dental clinic unit inside a Mahindra van with an aim to make the people and school children aware of dental diseases and to promote dental hygiene. The dental clinic on wheel goes around the Corporation and other Government Schools located in Santhome, Thoraipakkam and Mylapore. Medicines are distributed free of cost. So far, more than 2000 school children have been educated about the importance on dental hygiene.
