AVOW ’08 Seminar at D G Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam
AVOW ’08, an awareness seminar on alchoholism and substance was held on 3rd March at D.G. Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam. The event was presided over by the chief guest Smt Letika Saran, additional commissioner of police, CB -CID and Hon’ble Justice Sri T Sudanthiram, judge, High Court, Madras. The key note speaker of the seminar was Dr. Anand Balan, psychiatrist, Wisdom Hospital. Eminent personalities from diverse fields and students from all over the city colleges such as Stella Maris College, Women’s Christian College, Madras School of Social Works, Layola College, Madras Christian College, Hindu College, etc., participated and supported the signature campaign saying ‘No to drugs’. Finally the event marked its end by having conducted skit competitions.
