Maintenance Of South-East Area
Pandit: South-east corner area is called ‘Agni mula’ and the presiding deity is ‘Agni Devan’. The planet is ‘Venus’. The qualities of Venus are - love, affection and passion.
Student: Agni is one of the five elements of Panchabhutas. Other than that, is there any special importance for it?
Pandit: Agni is the most powerful element of Panchabhutas. Parsi community worship ‘Fire’ as their god. People are not maintaining the other elements properly. Earth is disturbed much and made dirty. Quality water, the gift of nature, is spoiled by people and made dirty. Air is polluted in many ways such as - industrial smoke, vehicles smoke etc., Even the sky is not spared. Use of chemical weapons, launch of rockets, satellite etc., spoil the sky and global heat makes it still worst. But fire cannot be spoiled.
Student: How to maintain to south-east area as per ‘Vastusastra’ ?
Pandit: If Agni is provided in Agni mula, that will ensure smooth way of life and there may not be any problem. If it is residential building, kitchen should be located in south-east area. In a factory, electrical transformer, generator, boiler plant etc., should be placed in south-east area.
Student: I understand the details of things to be placed in south-east area. Now, please explain me the details of things what should not be placed in south-east area.
Pandit: Underground sump, well or bore well should not be located in south-east area. Further, septic-tank also should not be located in south-east area.
Student: What should be the shape of south-east area?
Pandit: South-east corner may be rectangular or the angle may be wider. East of south-east extension is not acceptable. If there is extension in agni area, it may lead to wasteful expenditure. In some cases, there may be fire accident. Hence, extension of site or building in Agni area should be avoided.
Student: What about entry in that area?
Pandit: Entry in east of south-east area (Agni area) is prohibited. Hence, gate or main door should not be located in the east of south-east area. However, there is no harm in locating the entry at south of south-east area.
Student: What about the level of south-east area?
Pandit: South-east area should be lower than south-west area, equal to north-west area, and higher than the north-east area.
Student: What will be the consequence of defects in south-east area?
Pandit: Defects in south-east area may lead to loss of fame and name in business.
In a residential building, such defects may result in theft, leakage, conflicts etc.,
It would be better to check the correctness of Vastu position and ensure happy and prosperous life.
