To Promote Use Of Renewable Energy
The Government of Tamilnadu has realized the importance and the need for renewable energy and has set up a separate agency, as a registered society called the Tamilnadu Energy Development Agency – TEDA in the year 1985. The main objective of the Tamilnadu Energy Development Agency is to promote the use of new and renewable sources of energy, conservation of energy, to encourage research and development on renewable sources of energy.
TEDA conducts promotion programmes and events on wind energy, bio-energy, solar-energy and other renewable energy sources, projects. TEDA has also undertaken various awareness programmes for promoting the importance and uses of renewable energy in Tamilnadu.
