Can-Stop programmes
In recognition of World No Tobacco Day on May 31st, Can-Stop, an NGO working in cancer care, is organizing a series of events like screening camp, awareness talk, musical concert, photo exhibition, sticker campaign, counseling etc., to mark this special occasion. Screening camp for the public held on 3rd May at Corporation Health Post, Kellys, screening camp and awareness talks for the MTC drivers held on 14th and one more to be held on 21st May in Avadi and Ambattur bus depots, musical concert on 24th May at YMCA, Nandanam. photo exhibition and play on 30th May at Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Harrigton Road. sticker campaign on 31st May at CMBT, Koyambedu, awareness talk on ill effects of tobacco on 27th May at Aricent, Guindy on 31st May at SMF and on 3rd June at Rotary Club of Madras and counselling and tobacco cessation programmes on every 2nd and 4th Saturday at Can-Stop Resource Centre, 20-A, D’silva Road, Mylapore.
