Global Youth Summit – 2008
Dr Supraja Dharini, founder and chairperson of Tree Foundation and Mr Arun Krishnamurthy, volunteer, co-ordinator for the Roots and Shoots groups in Chennai and Hyderabad recently attended the Jane Goodall’s – Global Youth Summit – 2008 at Walt Disney World Resort, USA. Dr Supriya told Chennai Plus that she presented a workshop on the topic “How can a young person become an ambassador for nature”. She further stated that the knowledge acquired during the summit was immeasurable. More than 100 youth from six continents and 28 countries attended Global Youth Summit by the world renowned primatologist Dr Jane Goodall which aimed to mobilize the young leaders to address the critical issues facing planet earth.
