Experienced art director
Mr J. Soundararajan, an art director, is a diploma holder from the School of Arts and Crafts, Chennai. He completed his school education at P.S. High School, Mylapore. J. Soundararajan has nearly three decades of rich experience as an art director and he has been associated with several leading advertisement agencies. His first one man exhibition of paintings was held at Lalith Kala Academy, Chennai. J. Soundararajan told the Chennai Plus reporter that he has designed several pavilions. A few notable ones done by him are the Tamilnadu pavilion, Gandhi Darshan New Delhi, Neyveli Lignite Corporation, India International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan New Delhi, Amalgamation Pavilion, Auto Expo, Ashok Leyland etc.,J. Soundararajan uses oils, acrylics, water colours, pastels, pen and ink as the medium for his creative paintings. He is a specialist in pen and ink drawings. All his drawings are based upon his imagination. He does mainly landscape paintings.Art director J. Soundararajan is a highly respected and influential person. Famous and leading top movie personalities, important ministers and eminent persons have praised the creative art and painting works done by him.Film actor Sivakumar and the Mylapore MLA, S.Ve. Shekher visited his painting exhibition held recently at the Lalit Kala Academy. They appreciated and honoured J. Soundararajan for his excellent painting and art work. Moreover the art works of J. Soundararajan were greatly admired by the leading architect in India and artist, Mr Govinda Rao, Dr. Nanditha Krishna, honorary director of C P R Foundation, Alwarpet and by Gopulu, a famous leading artist in South India.According to official sources, Mr G. K. Vasan, the Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India, New Delhi has stated that J. Soundararajan has a rich and varied experience in the field of arts and advertising for the past 30 years.J. Soundararajan is holding an exhibition of his paintings at La Galerie D’Expression in Ambassador Pallava Hotel, Egmore, Chennai – 600 008. There are about 30 paintings on display at the exhibition which is on upto 31st May 2008.Speaking to the Chennai Plus reporter, J. Soundararajan told Elwyn that about 30 years back he had an opportunity to present a picture drawing to the famous Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachan at the Superstar Rajini Kanth’s residence in Poes Garden.J. Soundararajan told Chennai Plus that his future aim is to conduct an exhibition of his paintings throughout India. He is also very interested to have exhibition of his art works at foreign countries namely Japan, England, Germany and USA.The creative and highly talented art director J.
