Education Programme For Under-Privileged Children
Miss U.Sonam of Sindhi Model School,Chennai-10 conducted an Education programme to inculcate the importance on Right to Education for the under -privileged children of Aryan Street and Stringers Street, Vepery on the 6th November 2008. She spoke on the importance of education and conducted games and competitions.
About 80 children participated in the event. Prizes were awarded to 6 Toppers and consolation prizes were given away to the rest of the children. The programme was supported by The Chennai Street Children Prevention and Rehabilitation Project-World Vision India (No-95,Konnur High Road, Ayanavaram)Two volunteers of the project Mr.Karthik and Mrs.Jebamani were present on the occasion. The Horlicks Wiz Kids 2008 provided an opportunity for Sonum to serve the under-privileged children.
