Mega Undersea Power Link With India And Sri Lanka
The Minister of State for Power, Jairam Ramesh has stated that a mega under sea power transmission project between India and Sri Lanka has been planned.
The link is likely to connect Madurai in Tamil Nadu and Anuradhapura in Sri Lankan North Central Province.
This mega project is expected to cost about 450 million dollars. The State owned Power Gird Corporation of India Ltd is conducting the feasibility study for this mega power link project.
