The Saliyar’s Mahajan Sangh, Chennai Branch held its monthly meeting on 31st October 2010 at 10.00 am at Mahalakshmi Builders, No -107/ 59, P.S. Sivaswamy Salai, Mylapore, Chennai- 4. The meeting was presided over by Shri.P.Gurusamy (Retired, Avadi Tank Industries) in the presence of Prof.C.Palanisamy, M.A, President of the Branch.
The meeting commenced with prayers from Prof.K.Chandrasekaran. Dr.P.Vinayagarmoorthy, M.D., M.S.(Psy) Ph.D welcomed the gathering. The house paid tribute to Smt N.Thailammal wife of Shri.S.Namasivayam Palavakkam who passed away on 8-10-2010.Shri C.Gurunathamani greeted all those members who celebrated their birthdays and Wedding days, followed by Aruppukkotai
Shri.T.S.Thavasimani’s poetry. Dr.S.Saravanan, MBBS delivered a special talk on awareness on H1N1 flu. Shri.Pragatheeswaran D.M.E,Vice-President spoke about the third year celebration of the branch. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Shri.A.Palaniswamy, B.Sc, Co-ordinating Secretary.
