Swetha is the Founder and Director of Born2 Win. She has worked in HIV AIDS programmes among MSM, Transgenders for past 10 years in Chennai group of NGO & CBO. Swetha says from the past 10 years of her experience she has seen many from the LGBT community who are very talented. She had an idea for starting a trust and has undertaken many social activities for both LGBT & common people in society, Swetha got motivated from the talented LGBT community to start Born2Win Social Welfare Trust.
According to Swetha, LGBT people had many talent and skills. She stated that they good in dancing, drama, comedy, mimicries’ and much more. Now Born2Win is having a cultural committee where cultural programmes are conducted. For past years Transgender day is observed and celebrated just like Women’s Day and Mothers Day to get recognized in the society. Though this function is done in a small level it gets well reached in the society. Born2Win is trying to do the function in an innovative manner. Swetha stated that on 29th April Transgender Day was successfully celebrated at Raja Annamalai Mandapam at Parry’s. During the function awards and prizes were distributed by eminent personalities. Born2 Win has a cultural committee to motivate many LGBT and do more cultural programmes. Swetha stated that Born2Win has a vision to conduct award distribution functions every year and also to provide jobs and self employment opportunities. Born2Win also works to help and care for the homeless and orphan children.Born2Win would also focus on educating poor children and conducting community development programmes and activities.
