The findings of exit pole projected by the leading News Agencies proved to be correct with the outcome of Assembly elections, Congratulation to DMK and its alliance but no one could let out on how many seats either DMK alliance or AIADMK alliance could score in the 14 constituencies of Chennai segment.

A large turn out of voters seen in the elections revealed explicitly a political awareness of the public expecting to keep all promises made by DMK. Strong opposition with considerable number of members in the Assembly would thrive the ruling party to do their functions more cautiously. For the reason of no anti-incumbency wave, AIADMK could garner half of the seats in Chennai segment, which was considered a strong bastion of DMK. The result of Assembly elections would be a lesson for both the parties.
