25th July 2006, Chennai: The Chennai based Precision Informatic, which is a part of Precision group today announced its foray into new areas of business, which will dovetail with its existing business and experience. Precision Group, which has completed 10 years and has touched a turnover of Rs.150 crores for 2005 - 2006 and is expected to cross Rs. 400 crores by 2009.
Addressing the media Mr. V. Murali, Director, Precision Group said that

The company is among the top 10 system integators in India and the wealth of experience gathered from the industry as well as the business associates have made them thinkand come out with the above new initiatives.
Expalining the rationale behind each new developments Mr. Mathew Chacko, Director said that IT training is taking a complete paradigm shift, only organisations with crore competency and diversified operations can exist in business. The gap between demand and supply in the job market has paved the way for New players into the IT Training segment. Precision plans bridge the gap since it is already in the end-to- end IT solutions providing business. The revenues from this activity could be over Rs. 10 crores in the next two years.
Precsion has taken on a mission to become a global organisation. In this context where the company was providing IT solutions to its range of clients, the engineers at precision started providing software solutions also. The rich experience gathered overa decade has given us the confidence to embark on his ambitions move. Simultaneously precision will also launch the Infrastructure Management Solutions, Which will help customers to be in control of their IT infrastructure based on ITIL frame work. Web solutions will also be provided to clients who need them.
On the ERP Solutions Precision will use MS Dynamics Navision to cater to medium sized companies ( SME’S) seeking one solution to increase productivitywithout disrupting day- to day business operations. MS Dynamics Nvision delivers integrated functionality with the following modules to provide a complete ERP Solution to customers- Financial Management, Analytics and Reporting, HR Management, Project Management, CRM , Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Service Management, Retail Management and E- Commerce.
Precision Infomatic will offer Consulting services for IT Infrastructure needs of the clients for the four building blocks such as User Community, Data Centre, Network and Security. This can be on Hardwares, Operating systems, applications, Data base, Storage and any other requirements. Intergration would be the next step to consulting as the solution suggested on consulting would have to be implemented. Opportunities for the consulting and Integration business will be derived from existing as well as new customers.
Mr. T.G. Ramesh, Director, Precision said currently Precision has its presene in the South and West while it plans to open offices in North and East shortly. With a national network, it will not be too difficult for Precision Group to cross the target of Rs. 400 crores by 2009.

The main road in J.J.Nagar Mogappair East is full of large pot-holes. The condition of the road in general is so poor.
During rainy days water stagnates in the pot-holes and become unseen ditches, which is hazardous to two wheelers and pedestrians. Further due to long stagnation of water in the pot-holes the area is so smelly and has become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
The concern authorities are kindly requested to look into this matter without delay.

The Rotary International president William B. Boyd, who is on his first visit to Chennai said that he was delighted to be in the city. Where the Rotarians of district 3230 have contributed tremendously to the Community at large and have made a house hold name.
Interacting with the media the District Governor Rtn. J.B. Kamdar (Chennai Plus issue dated 9th to 15th July) said recognising Rotary’s efficient project execution system, knowledge and efforts and the transparency and concern for the community. The government of Tamil Nadu has come forward to work with R.I. District 3230. The Rotarians will spend 10 crores on community service particularly in the identified areas.
During the current Rotary year the Rotarians of District 3230 plan to take up the following projects.
1.Provision of 100 bus stops. The items costing Rs.1 lakh each in Chennai.
2.Renovation of 100 Government Corporation and Panchayat Schools into Smiles programme. Providing benches, clean water, and toilet facilities.
The R.I. president during his two day visit will inaugurate the Schools into Smiles project at Mogappair and the bus stop at Thirumangalam.
The library equipped with books worth Rs.2.5 crores received from U.S.A. The project is known as C.P. Ramaswamy Foundation Rotary Club of Madras Children’s Library.

Loyola College students of AICUF unit conducted an agitation at Marina Beach on 2nd August 2006 condemning the air strike of Isreal against Lebenon. Prof. Galastien of Social work Dept led the procession. Satya Paul, President of AICUF canvassed about it going around the colleges in the city. Around 120 people took part in this agitation.
They stressed to abstain from massacring the innocent public.

Health and Beauty exhibition was conducted by Smart Expo’s at Nandambakkam Trade Centre from 4th to 6th August 2006.
London Laser Cosmetic Clinic hired a stall in the exhibition and offered free consultation on skin ailments, unwanted hair problems and offered permanent solutions.
Free treatments were given for few clients and the clinic offered 50% discount on laser hair removal and laser treatment for pimples, scars and free skin analysis for the first ten patients.
