Finger Print Readers At Ambattur Municipal Offices
Ambattur Municipality has altogether 52 wards chaired by Mr.K.M.Sekar and M.V.Chakkarapani as its commissioner. Both of them are very dedicated and keen to fulfill the needs of the public.
The authorities of the Municipality noticed that health workers attached to the eight divisional sanitary offices do not report for work in time. The divisional sanitary offices are Oragadam, Venkatapuram, Varatharajapuram, Mannarkottai, Korattur, Padi, Mogappair and Athipatti. To solve this issue the authorities decided to install “Finger Print Readers” at all these places and two more at the Municipality office itself at a cost of Rs.10 lakh and all workers were instructed to record the fingerprints. The installation of these fingerprint readers was inaugurated by the chairman Mr.Sekar. Commissioner,Mr. Chakkarapani, Deputy Chairman, Mr. Neelakandan and other officers were also present at the function.
The commissioner said that all arrangements have been made to repair all roads in the Municipal area and provision has been made for 26 parks in Ambattur area. He also said that often children play cricket on the roads and streets, but unfortunately the Municipality has no immediate provision for a playground in Ambattur but said that if the public request for a playground that would be considered at a later date.
