Three students from the Anna Nagar Teakwondo Club, at 13B-Park Road, Anna Nagar West Extension Association emerged victorious in the all India World Taekwondo Federation, Black Belt exams conducted by Taekwondo Federation of India at Lucknow held between 2nd and 4th August. This Black belt is issued from the head Quarters, World Taekwondo Federation, in Kukkiwan, Seoul, South Korea.
The students are trained master D.G.John Alexander, 5th Dan Black Belt (Seoul, South Korea), founder of Taekwondo in Anna Nagar since 1982.

There are two completely dead roadside trees standing in a dangerous position near the Adyar canal (Gandhi Nagar) MTC bus stop on Sardar Patel road. The bus passengers waiting at the stop told that these trees should be removed immediately by the concerned officials as it may fall down at any time and endanger the lives of the people waiting at the bus stop as well as the road users.

Anbu Malar Social Service Vision located at No-41/2, Solaiamman Koil Street, Ayanavaram, has been running a free Day Care Center for special children. Physiotherapists and expert teachers visit the Day Care Center on week days to teach the special children, simple training and exercise. Every time when it rains, there is heavy rainwater stagnation at the Thiruvanmiyur MTC Bus Terminus which creates a lot of inconvenience for the passengers to enter or exit the bus terminus. This photo taken by reporter shows water logging at the Terminus posing a problem to the passengers. Proper action in this regard is urgently required by the civic authorities and Metro water board.
