Yoga Therapy Sessions At Chinmaya Heritage Centre

Mr.V.P.K Alagesan, a resident of Choolaimedu is a service minded individual and an ace athelete. He is the branch manager of Bank of India, Palavakkam branch. Necessity For Adherence Of Vastu Principles

The basic principles of Vastusastra should be followed in a building. Deviations from the basic principles may affect to life in many ways.

I. Basic principles of Vastusastra:
The fundamentals or basic principles of Vastusastra are:
1. Perfect shape of the site.
2. Perfect shape of the building.
3. Main entrance in proper location.
4. Kitchen in south-east area or in an accepted location.
5. Master bed room in south-west area.
6. Clean north-east area.
7. Solid and heavy south-west area.
8. Under ground water body in north-east area or within north-east quadrant.
9. All the corners should be open to sky. There is no harm if south-west area is covered by a store etc.
10. There should not be any wrong slope. Any slope should be from west to east or south to north.
11. North should have more open space than south. East should have more open space than west.
12. True magnetic alignment.

II. Deviation from basic principles:
1. Deviation or defects in north-east area may affect the life of the family members in many ways.
a. It may affect the family growth. In some cases it may affect the economic growth also. In some cases it may affect the health also.
b. If agni is given in south-west area, it may affect the family relationship especially husband and wife relationship.
c. Ditch in south-west area or well, sump etc in south-west or south area may affect the health of the head of the family.
d. Defect in south-east (Underground sump, septic tank etc or coverage of agni corner) may affect the health of the lady members.
e. Extension in agni area may be responsible for theft, fire accident etc.
f. Extension in vayu area, may be responsible for discontent among family members. In some cases, it may affect the relationship with outsiders also.
III. Planning a building / correction of a building:
A building should be properly planned as per vastusastra. If there are defects in the existing building, the defects or deviations should be corrected properly. A building with enough vastu will ensure happiness, growth and prosperity for the family members.
