Landmark building in Chennai City
The YMCA Madras Esplanade branch building is an important landmark building, which is a reflection of the rich heritage of India. According to official sources, it was established by David MC Conaughy during 1890 in the southern states of Madras province. It has successfully completed a century and has being rendering yeoman services to the community in and around the city. It is also one of the pioneering organizations working for the youth to have an all round development of their personality, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The YMCA Madras is doing exemplary services towards the development of physical, moral and ethnical values in youth.
