AIDS awareness programme
Lions Club of T.Nagar jointly with Kalamandir Matriculation Hr.Sec School conducted an AIDS awareness programme for the parents of IX std students. Lions Club president Ln. S.J. Sharma explained the role of Lions Clubs in creating the awareness of AIDS among the public, especially among the students and the parents . Mrs. Hemalatha, P.G. Teacher trained by the Dept of Education has explained the causes, preventive measures to the parents. The parents were also supplied with pamphlets containing sources, what is AIDS / HIV? how it spreads? symptoms and its preventive measures by the Lions Club of T.Nagar. Nearly, 70 parents attended the programme
