Contonment Board Election Winners
The St. Thomas Mount cum Pallavaram Cantonment Board elections was held on Sunday, the 18th May 2008. According to the official sources, the following are the election winners.Ravi (DMK) won in ward No.1, Vasuki – AIADMK won in ward No.2, Gokulakrishnan (Congress) won in ward No.3, Manoharan (DMK) won in ward No.4, Tamil Selvi (DMK) won in ward No.5, Navrathan (AIADMK) won in ward No.6 and Boopalan won in ward No.7. The results of all the seven wards were declared on Monday, the 19th May 2008, official said.It is reported that after 11 years, the elections to the post of seven ward members of the St. Thomas Mount-cum Pallavaram Cantonment Board was held. There was heavy police patrol in St. Thomas Mount and Pallavaram areas to ensure smooth trouble free polling.
