Sail boat racing
A sail boat or sailing boat is a boat propelled partly or entirely by sails. The larger sail boats are called ‘sailboards’ and the smaller boats are known as ‘sailing ships’. Apart from the size of the sail boats can be distinguished by hull configuration, keel type, purpose, number, configuration of masts and the sail plan. Today the most common sail boat is the “sloop” which features one mast and 2 sails. The wind plays an important role to push the sail boat forward.
Like any sport or game, sail boat racing has basic rules. The sail boat racing is of excitement and strategy. Though sail boat racing is an expensive sport, it is very famous all over the world. Some of the types of sail boat racing are harbour racing, inshore racing, offshore racing etc.,
