ugly-subwayThe Palavanthangal railway subway connecting Nanaganallur with G.S.T.Road is used by a number of motorists. A number of pedestrians also make use of the subway to reach the Railway Station. But the subway road is in a worse condition filled with stagnant waste water. The pedestrian footpath leading towards the Railway station platform has unhygienic surroundings which is giving the entire Palavanthangal subway a very dirty and ugly look. The subway footpath is occupied by beggars preventing the pedestrians from freely using the footpath. Brighter illumination is required for pedestrian safety during the night time. Let the concerned authorities take up necessary measures to improve the condition of the Palavanthangal subway for the benefit of the area residents

UTERINE FIBROIDS - Health

Symptoms are sensation of fullness or pressure in lower abdomen, abdominal fullness, gaseous, increase in urinary frequency, presently in a menstruating age and having heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), sometimes with the passage of blood clots , sudden, severe pain (a pedunculate fibroid twists causing the blood vessels feeding the tumor to kink) Note : Hospitalization and surgery may be needed in this instance, and There may be no symptoms

A transvaginal ultrasound or pelvic ultrasound is usually performed to confirm the findings.
Treatment
Methods of treatment depend on the severity of symptoms, age, pregnancy status, desire for future pregnancies, general health, and characteristics of the fibroid(s). Treatment may consist of simply monitoring the fibroids, specifically their rate of growth, with periodic pelvic exams or ultrasound. This method is usually sufficient in pre menopausal women.

A total hysterectomy, which involves removal of the uterus, is another option.

In homoeopathy medicine like Aurum mur nat, calc iod, thuja, lapis alba are used for the treatment. The proper analysis of the case with the qualified homoeopathic physician will give the better results.

Fantastic Concert

carolThe 10th Annual Christmas Carol Concert to celebrate the spirit of Christmas was well organized and conducted in an excellent manner by the Madras Christian College Alumni Association recently at Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School, open air ground, Chetpet. The Choirs of the Madras Christian College, Emmanuel Methodist Church, Vepery, The Chariots, St.Thomas Orthodox Church, Stella Maris College-Western Music Club, The Octet Cantabile, Sishya School-Adyar, and the Madras Christian College Alumni choir rendered fantastic carols to start the Christmas festive season. K.M.Mammen, President of Madras Christian College Alumni Association and the College Principal V.J.Philip were present and spoke on the occasion. The photo taken by Chennai Plus reporter Elwyn shows the Women’s Christian College Choir singing wonderful carols on the second day of the concert. In a nut shell the Carol Concert was a fantastic, enjoyable and cheerful event which attracted a huge crowd of audience from all over the city.

Central Bridge needs a clean environment

centralThe Central Bridge above the suburban railway line which connects Mount Road and Poonamallee High Road is surrounded by heaps of uncleared garbage’s, debris and waste materials. The canal flowing below along the bridge is also polluted with dirty drainage water emanating a bad smell. The side walls of the bridge are misused as a public toilet giving the pedestrians a dirty smell. Trees are also found growing along the side walls of the bridge which can endanger the life of the bridge. Let the concerned authorities take action n to modernize and widen the bridge as the plenty of space available for better traffic management. The area residents told the Chennai Plus reporter that the Chennai Corporation officials should take necessary to clean and clear the garbage’s and waste materials so that the bridge gets a clean environment free from all health hazards.

Asian Continental Chief Referees

Manisha Raju Evolution as an Artist

Nature has its biggest source of energy, which inspires artist Manisha Raju to paint. The process of painting is the moment of total involvement for her. Artist Manisha is a native of Nagpur, Maharashtra State .She came to Cholamandal Artist Village, Chennai in the year 1997.From her childhood she is interested in colour painting. During her schooling, her drawing teacher Mr.Mandagade was her first guide to give her the basic fundamentals of painting. Manisha had successfully passed her Elementary and Intermediate Drawing Examination. She completed her Ph.D in the year 2003.
Earlier days she was very mush inspired by Indian painters like Raja Ravi Varma, Mulgaonkar, SM Pandit and the western artist Pablo Picasso. Later she came in contact with Late Dadasaheb Desmukh who was Fellow of Shantiniketan, Bengal School of Art. Her paintings also have an influence of Bengal School of Art and the impressions are really strong.
Artist Manisha Raju is very much interested in Indian Traditional Art and Mythology. Her painting is the reflection of ones true feeling, ideas and imagination. Her art works are not complicated on the contrary her paintings are very simple and it provides a metaphysical comfort to the viewer. Cholamandal was real milestone in Artist Manisha’s art journey. Her husband is also a great talented artist. Manisha handles many mediums like water colours, poster colour, pastels and acrylic. All her art mediums have it own grace. Her style is figurative. Artist Manisha Raju told the Chennai Plus reporter Elwyn that painting for her is not only a passion; rather it’s a creation, devotion and meditation. She is a member of the Progressive Painters Association, Chennai.
