Ungalukagha Charitable Trust conducted a Blood donation camp for the benefit of poor children at the Government Institute of Child Health, Egmore. V.A.Ravi Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police, Chennai inaugurated the event in the presence of Ungalukagha Trust Founder Dr Suneel, K.Subba Reddy, Chairman, Pallava Group, and N.Ramalingam, Chairman, NR Constructions.
The camp was organized to donate blood to the Blood Bank at the Tamil Nadu Government Institute of Child Health, Egmore, Chennai, where poor people normally visit for their serious illness. Ungalukagha Charitable Trust is noted for its benevolent activities of charity to the needy people in the field of Education, Health and Entrepreneurship. The Managing Trustee, Ungalukagha Dr Suneel and its Directors arranged the Blood donation camp in association with the Blood Bank at ICH, Chennai. Thiru V.A.Ravi Kumar IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, who inaugurated the camp said that he was extremely happy in associating himself with this benevolent act by which hundreds of poor children will certainly get their lives saved. He appreciated the efforts of Dr Suneel and the Directors of the Trust. He was also in praise for the people who voluntarily donated their blood in the camp. Thiru K. Subba Reddy, Chairman, Pallava Group who presided the inauguration of the camp, said that it is rare to get blood and rarer to find people who come forward to donate blood.
Conducting such camps is one of the noblest acts of humanity, he said. Thiru N. Ramalingam, Chairman, NR Constructions and Thiru C. Ganesh, MD, Kalgan Consultants Pvt Ltd participated as special guests on the occasion. While welcoming all to the inauguration of the Blood Camp, Dr Suneel, gave a brief about the various acts of charity that the Trust has taken up.The camp was assisted by 9 doctors and 23 nurses from the Blood Bank of the ICH, Chennai. More than 200 people, from various walks of life, volunteered to donate their blood at the Blood Donation Camp.
