Civic Work In Progress At T.Nagar

Habibullah Road is one of the popular residential localities in T.Nagar area. Today the road is dotted with MNC offices, educational institutions, banks and posh restaurants etc. One major problem that occurs in Habibullah Road is severe water stagnation during the monsoon period. In order to prevent water stagnation along the road, Chennai Corporation is presently constructing a new storm water drainage facility at Habibullah Road.

The work is in progress near North Usman Road intersection. According to the Chennai Corporation sources, under the JNNURM scheme Storm Water drains are designed to relieve Water Stagnation in the Water logging areas irrespective of the width of the road.
