Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan enthralled the audience with her Solo Bharathanatyam performance during the inauguration function of 24th Yuva Utsav of Bharat Kalachar. The event took place on 24th September 2011 at Sri YGP Auditorium, T.Nagar. Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan, Disciple of Danseuse Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan, kept the audience spell bound with her captivating Solo Bharathanatyam recital. Her performance was an alluring audio-visual treat with accompanists Guru Bharadwaj on Mrudangam, Ramana on Flute, Saikripa Prasanna on Nattuvangam, and Jothimathi on Vocal. Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan is student of Natya Sankalpaa – an Academy of Indian Classical Dance and Music founded by Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan.
She is a child prodigy, who at the age of seven performed a solo classical dance that was well received at a function held to honor playback singer K.J. Yesudas. She has also won many trophies at that young age. Also she has performed in various events of significance including Forty first all India Medical Conference (Medicon-2004); Perur Natyanjali Festival- Coimbatore; Dance Festival at Mamallapuram; Cultural Programme at IITF Pragathi Maidan, New Delhi; and various productions of Natya Sankalpaa. She has presented the concept of `Panchali Sapatham’ with her Guru Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan. Her solo performances with the concept `Bhavayami Raghuram’ won her appreciation from the exponents of the field. She was conferred the Guru Pandanallur T.S. Shanmugasundaram Pillai Award by music exponent by Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. She has also won appreciations from several cultural exponents including Educationist Mrs. Y.G. Parthasarathy, Mrs. Chithra Visweshwaran, Playback singers S. Janaki and S.P. Balasubramaniam, and Music Director Sri. Deva.
Since her Arangetram on March 14, 2010, she has been performing regularly in major dance events including the events at Bharath Kalachar, Brahma Gana sabha, Narada Gana Sabha, Thirupathi Devasthanam and Hindu Downtown Gollu Kondatam.A Ninth standard student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Hr. Sec. School, Anna Nagar.

Vinisha’s parents Mr.KV.Kathiravan and Mrs Jayasudha encourages and supports her a lot.Vinisha, is an all-rounder excelling in literary, sports and cultural activities of her school. Also a learner of Carnatic music and Yoga, she has proved her mettle in giving voiceover to many advertisements and singing advertisement jingles.
Devotional albums `Saranam Ayyappa’ and `Dhanvanthri Aradhana’ stand credit to her singing capability. Vinisha’s forthcoming events include her performances in Chennayil Thiruvaiyaru, Bharathi Vidya Bhavan, Naradha Natya Vizha, Naradha Gana Sabha, and also the Carnatic concert with Ms.Sudha Raghunathan in `Radio One’ next month. Her future events include `Panchali Sapatham’ with her guru in Bharath Kalachar and Naradha Gana Sabha next year.
