Rev.Sister Marissa is the Principal of Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Srinivasa Nagar,Chennai-99. The Principal stated that the school aims in making students well integrated persons, spiritually, socially, intellectually, morally and culturally well equipped and ready to collaborate with other persons in building a just society.

The school teaches values of peace, justice and freedom. Leadership qualities are promoted by various activities for the students.

The school motivates the students to strive for academic excellence and helps the students to cultivate values like simplicity, tolerance, generosity, forgiveness and honesty. The Principal also stated that the school gives the students a sense of patriotism respecting different cultures, work for integration by respecting every one without distinction of caste, creed, language and economic status. The school follows the Matriculation syllabus of the Tamil Nadu Government and it comes under the management of the Archdiocese of Madras Mylapore. The school had an humble and hard beginning. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny have been very much associated with the school from its inception. From May 24th 2009 onwards Rev. Fr. S.X. Amalraj has taken on the mantle of administration and has been serving the school successfully.

All the curricular and co-curricular activities are geared up to lead the students to a spontaneous and whole-hearted involvement and growth in the discipline of the School. 16th August 1815 at Becchi, a village in Northern Italy. Don Bosco was able to overcome all difficulties and come up in life the hard way. As a young person, he used all his God given talents and help to rescue youngsters from evil habits and to lead a honest life. He was ordained priest on 5th June in 1948. He started Oratories for the all round formation of the children. His method of education is called The Preventive System
